I think that yes, as far as basic salvation is concerned, we are told, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." [Romans 10:9-10]. <br /><br />Does that mean I don't think we should do anything else beyond that? No. The Bible also says that faith without works is dead [James 2]. Faith comes first and the works follow, as one pastor put it. <br /><br />I don't know if that answers your question.
